We’re proud to share that Abasse from Guinea-Bissau, the 67th country where we have provided life-saving procedures, has made it to Israel! After a long 24-hour journey, including 4 flights, this brave 10-year-old boy will receive treatment in the coming weeks.
Abasse has three brothers and currently attends 2nd grade. He loves playing football, reading, and listening to the radio. Abasse's parents work in agriculture, so he's been living with his grandparents in Enterramento, a suburb of the capital city. Last year, he was diagnosed with a heart condition by Dr. Elisio Pedro Indi, one of the pediatricians at the Renato Grande Center.
Save A Child's Heart is committed to reaching even more children in need, and we're honored to have been a part of Abasse's journey to receive the care he deserves. We look forward to sharing more about Abasses journey with SACH during his stay in Israel.
