For 30 years, a global network of Doctors, Family Members, Volunteers and supporters of Save a Child’s Heart (SACH) have helped us bring lifesaving cardiac care to children in need around the world.
Through every challenge, whether war, a global pandemic, or the countless obstacles in between, we have remained unwavering in our mission, continuing to build hope for the next generation.

IN ISREAEL
Goal: Treat 500+ children annually and launch an Adult Congenital Heart Program. By treating past patients into adulthood, we’re giving them
the chance to live full, healthy lives.
Professionals
Goal: Build the next generation of cardiac experts. Through hands-on training and education, we’re empowering doctors and nurses from around the world to create more centers of excellence in their home countries.

MEdical MISSIONS
Goal: Strengthen South-to-South Cooperation. Our medical missions bring life-saving care to underserved regions while fostering collaboration between developing nations, ensuring sustainable healthcare solutions.

HOSPITAL
Goal: Expand with the Arison Pediatric Emergency Medicine Center and the International Medical Education and Simulation Center (IMESC). Our state-of-the-art facilities will not only save lives but also serve as a global hub for medical education and innovation.

First Child is Treated
Our founder, Dr. Ami Cohen, operated on the very first child brought to Israel from Ethiopia. The following year, Save a Child’s Heart was born.
First Surgical Mission
Save a Child’s Heart first surgical mission to China. To date, SACH has embarked on over 125 missions abroad.
A Tragic Accident
Dr. Ami Cohen’s sudden and tragic death in Kilimanjaro. The team at Wolfson Medical Center came together and committed itself to continue its mission in honor of Ami.
Children’s Home Opens
Save a Child's Heart opens the Legacy Heritage Children's Home in Holon, expanding our capacity to house more mothers and children with 60 beds.
UN Population Award
Save a Child's Heart becomes the first Israeli organization in history to receive the UN Population Award.
Children’s Hospital Opens
Opened Sylvan Adams Children’s Hospital and the Ida Cabakoff International Cardiac Care Center for Save a Child's Heart in Israel.
Support for Emergency Needs in Israel
Save a Child’s Heart launched an Emergency fundraising campaign after the Hamas terrorist attacks on October 7, 2023. Those funds helped purchase equipment which is also currently being used to address the emergency needs from the Iranian missile attacks and the ongoing war.
