We mend hearts regardless of race, religion, gender, nationality or financial status.
Save a Child's Heart saves the lives of critically ill children suffering from heart disease in countries where access to pediatric heart care is limited or nonexistent. Through bringing children to Israel for medical care, performing missions abroad, and training medical personnel, we are bringing hope to families, communities, and countries. As Israel's preeminent humanitarian organization, we are transforming pediatric cardiac care around the world.
Every Tuesday, Save a Child’s Heart hosts a free clinic to screen, diagnose and follow up with children from the Palestinian Authority and Gaza. Each week, approximately 20 to 25 Palestinian children are screened. In 2019, we screened 576 Palestinian children.
Since 2017, SACH has been building the Children's Hospital and Ida Cabakoff International Cardiac Care Center for Save a Child's Heart to encompass all pediatric-related activity benefiting catchment area children and children from around the world. The IPCC will be the Middle East's largest pediatric cardiac center.
The children we treat and their caregivers are housed at the Children's Home during their time in Israel. It is a warm place filled with laughter where often, the only common language is a smile.
Our volunteer opportunities provide a behind-the-scenes look into the Save a Child's Heart Children’s Home. Volunteers are responsible for organizing games and activities for the children, as well as acting as a friend and a familiar face. Volunteers are crucial for providing care and emotional support to the kids and their families during their stay in Israel, pre- and post-procedure.

It costs $15,000 USD to save a child in need.
This cost covers all medical care, international travel, and housing during a child’s stay in Israel.
"Join us and together let us make the network to help children with heart disease globally big enough to be equal to the task. There is work for everybody. There are no dollars and cents in it, but it is worth a fortune."
"I had a dream, there were many colors over my bed, then a very big hand came in the middle of the night. We flew to a far-off country and they gave me a new heart, and I could run and dance."
Save a Child’s Heart believes that expanding access to pediatric cardiac care for children born in developing countries will help build a better future for them, their families and their communities. This mission supports the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a long-term blueprint of 17 goals adopted by all UN member states which aim to reduce global inequalities and build peace across the globe, including by improving access to health (Goal 3).
SACH is committed to building a future where all children have a chance at healthy lives and to eliminate preventable deaths of children suffering from congenital and acquired heart disease.
