The new children’s hospital provides life-saving facilities to care for thousands of children in Israel and from around the world.

The new 7-floor Save a Child’s Heart (SACH) International Pediatric Cardiac Center (IPCC) and Sylvan Adams Children's Hospital houses all of the infrastructure and equipment needed to perform life-saving cardiac treatments, including all pre- and post-operative care, enabling SACH to treat even more children. This state-of-the-art medical facility also improves care for Israeli children and their families.

Raising the level of care

Our state-of-the-art children’s hospital is outfitted with the infrastructure, equipment, and expertise to treat children at the highest standard.

State-of-the-art institution

The children's hospital features three operating rooms with the most cutting-edge technologies enabling medical teams to conduct complex procedures such as open-heart surgery and catheterization procedures on the same patient simultaneously.

Increased access for Israeli children

Our brand new facilities and the expertise of our medical teams greatly improves healthcare for Israeli children in the area served by the Wolfson Medical Center.

Greater capacity

This facility will enable SACH to perform at least 300 pediatric heart surgeries and 400 pediatric catheterizations per year.

A center of excellence

The SACH IPCC is the largest pediatric cardiac care facility in the Middle East and strengthens healthcare capabilities across the region. We are proud to welcome physicians and children from across the globe for treatment and training at our facility.

Statement of Recognition

Save a Child’s Heart thanks the project’s generous founding benefactors including, Sylvan Adams, Morris Kahn, The Azrieli Foundation Canada-Israel, the Legacy Heritage Fund and the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust for helping to make the dream of building the Middle East’s largest pediatric cardiac center possible.

  • The Kim and Jane Clement Hybrid Catheterization Laboratory Operating Room, one of the only in the world, and the most advanced hybrid operating room in the Middle East, housing all relevant medical team members including, the cardiac surgeon, cardiologist, interventional cardiologist and technicians and deploying state-of-the-art imaging techniques including two-dimensional and three-dimensional imaging
  • Two advanced operating rooms for open-heart surgery
  • Expanded prep and recovery areas with intensive care capabilities
  • An area for day-patient and emergency-time hospitalization, with 29 patient beds
  • Twelve ICU beds (double the capacity of the old ICU), each with operating room capabilities for emergency interventions
  • Two Isolated rooms for patients who present with infectious diseases and compromised immune systems
  • Industrial walls to prevent the spread of germs and infectious diseases
  • Command and Control nursing station
  • Outside of the PICU is a spacious family waiting area and patio
  • Spacious family greeting and waiting area, more than double the size of our previous location, to fit up to forty families
  • Four echocardiography examination rooms, with 3-D and 4-D imaging capabilities
  • A stress test room equipped for pediatric patients and a treatment room for echocardiography examination preparation, including preparatory sedation

  • 26 beds, with the potential for 32 beds if required
  • A dedicated nurses station, facing a medication preparation room
  • An Infant nutrition room and a family kitchen
  • Play area and education room where social workers and therapists provide social and emotional support and prepare patients for their procedures
