Currently, 32 children are receiving care from Save a Child’s Heart in Israel. At any given time, children from around the world are at our Children’s Home near Tel Aviv and at our Weekly Clinic for Palestinian children. These children receive screenings and life-saving heart procedures from doctors at Wolfson Medical Center and the Ida Cabakoff International Cardiac Care Center.
With their laughter, courage, and dreams, these children remind us of the purpose of our mission.
When children and their families travel hundreds and thousands of miles to Israel for care by Save a Child’s Heart, they need a welcoming place to stay while they are here. The Save a Child’s Heart Children’s Home is alive with the world’s languages, shared meals, birthday parties, first steps, laughter, and play. Children recover here after surgery – sometimes running and breathing freely for the first time in their lives.
Over half the children Save a Child’s Heart treats are from the Palestinian Authority and Gaza. Save a Child’s Heart manages the administration needed to bring each of these children for care at the Save a Child’s Heart weekly pediatric cardiology clinic for Palestinian children and our children’s hospital. Since its founding in 1995, Save a Child’s Heart has treated more than 3,000 Palestinian children.
Each week, past patients and potential new children are seen by the SACH medical team to access the care they need to live healthy lives.
ON AVERAGE, WE SAVE A LIFE EVERY
